Illness and Children’s Television

I’m sick today. It sucks. But when you’re sick, nothing is better than children’s television. Especially when it’s in Japanese. TV in JapanĀ  is a fabulous site that scours Youtube and Google Video looking for anything interesting that from Japanese TV that people have been kind enough to post. My favorite posts there are almost always from a show called “Pitagora Suicchi,” which translates to “Pythagoras Switch.” For those that don’t know, a Pythagoras switch is a machine that uses chain reactions to initiate some event, like knocking over dominoes to smack into a book to knock the marbles into the tube. . .

This clip is the best one I’ve seen. It’s got two, count ‘em two switches, a dance number, and singing penguin. So awesome. It makes me feel better just thinking about it.

  2. That show is great. I actually learned something from those penguins.
